At Welland Academy, we follow the Jigsaw PSHE scheme which encompasses Relationship and Sex and Health education.

In the document below, it outlines which parts of our curriculum fall under Relationship, Sex and Health.

Our Sex education lessons take place in the last half of the summer term and parents will be informed about this in advance. It is always possible for parents to ask teachers to look at the materials the teachers will be using in lessons.

Parents have the right to request their child's withdrawal from some of the sex lessons, however these are only from the lessons written in bold on the overview document below. If parents wish to withdraw, they will need to complete a form which can be collected form the Academy office.
