At the start of the autumn term, Year 4 had a Roman day to get stuck in to their topic!
We started the day by meeting our very own Roman soldier who came to visit our school and help us learn all about the Romans. We then had the chance to do some very exciting activities in the hall such as making clay pots, making traditional perfume and marching like Roman soldiers in different formations!
In the afternoon, we had a Roman feast and enjoyed traditional dancing, a Roman play performance and a show of some of the marching learnt earlier in the day. A brilliant day was had by all and we learnt so much fantastic information that we can now use in our learning.
Thank you parents for your help with all of the fantastic costumes!
