Welcome to the Year 6 Romania Class page!
Class teacher: Miss Lilley
Current topic: Hearts, health and happiness!
P.E days: Tuesday and Thursday
Welcome back! We hope you have had a wonderful half term break and have come back refreshed and ready for the spring term. Continuing with our normal operating procedures, the students will handwash and sanitise their hands regularly throughout the day and the classroom and toilets will be regularly cleaned. Assemblies are being held in the hall on a Tuesday and a Friday.
This half-term, we will be studying the unit hearts, health and happiness. In this unit, we will be learning all about how to keep our bodies fit and healthy and about the important role the heart has to play in keeping us alive. We will also be learning about the circulatory system and how it transports oxygen and nutrients around our bodies and gets rid of unwanted, waste products. Towards the end of the unit, we will be learning about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the positive impact this will have on our bodies. In our computing, we will be learning about how to effectively use a spreadsheet. In music, we will be learning how to play the chime bars and glockenspiels this half-term.
Homework will continue to be set on a Wednesday via Atom learning. The logins are in your child's reading record. They will also need to continue with their daily reading as well as times table practice throughout the week.
If you have any questions or queries about your child's learning, do not hesitate to come and see me at the classroom door at the end of the school day. Alternatively, you can make an appointment with me after school. Thank you for your cooperation so far and for adjusting to the changes in operating procedures in school. We really appreciate your support!
